Todd Harrison was named “Litigator of the Week” after winning what was termed a “rare” jury acquittal for a retired hedge-fund manager accused of insider trading. Mr. Harrison and his team, which included Andrew Tomback, had their client testify in his behalf, even though Mr. Harrison noted that “ninety-nine percent of the time you don’t put the defendant on the stand because it’s just too risky. Since this case turned on our client’s actual knowledge … it was more important in our case than in some cases for him to testify … [that] he didn’t know what was going on.”
