The Long Road to a Religious Freedom Victory for Sikhs in the U.S. Army

Amandeep Sidhu, as longtime legal advisor to The Sikh Coalition, was noted as counsel for Capt. Simratpal Singh in a lawsuit against the US Army, seeking a religious accommodation so that he could retain his Sikh articles of faith. In early March 2016 a federal judge ruled in Singh’s favor and he subsequently received a long-term religious accommodation.
