September 25, 2017 – McDermott Partner Lydia R.B. Kelley has been listed in Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2017 guide of “Who’s Who in Chicago Business.” The directory of Chicago’s most notable business leaders lists must-know names in the Chicago community, from Fortune 500 CEOs to civic leaders to philanthropists.
Lydia serves as partner-in-charge of McDermott’s Chicago office, is former co-chair of McDermott’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and was previously the Firm’s national hiring partner. She concentrates her practice on advising multinational and domestic entities, including public and closely held businesses, on federal income tax matters, primarily in the transactional area.
She has extensive experience working with clients in the energy, manufacturing and transportation industries and leads in the supervision of sophisticated tax due diligence for acquisitions of stock and assets. She has also advised on various credit union matters.
Additionally, Lydia is the past chair (2014) and a current member of the Chicago-Kent College of Law Federal Tax Institute and Federal Tax Institute Advisory Board.
