Overview
Gregg Fierman led the McDermott team representing the receivers for the seller of a Florida luxury home taken from a company tied to a developer sentenced for tax fraud. McDermott has played a lead role in selling assets seized from the developer and his father, which Marcos Jimenez, who handled related litigation, said has been delayed by a dispute between the receiver and a bank with a mortgage on the assets. Mr. Jimenez said the dispute is over, “number one, the priority of their lien and, number two, as to whether they were involved in covering up the fraud.”
