Many Countries Ban Circuses with Wild Animals; these Lawmakers Want the US to Follow Suit

James Moran said, regarding previous efforts similar to a new attempt in Congress to prohibit display of wild or exotic animals in circuses, that he was “sorry” the previous bills did not pass but the idea “did make some inroads.” Mr. Moran added that a lot of “grass-roots activity” could help pass the bill this time.
