Mars to Buy Pet Hospital Chain for $7.7 Billion

McDermott advised on antitrust issues as Mars Inc., the large, privately owned consumer conglomerate, agreed to acquire VCA, owner of almost 800 animal hospitals, and add the company to its growing pet care business.
