Overview
PARIS (30 November 2017) – McDermott Will & Emery has advised Abénex, the leading private equity group on its leveraged buyout (LBO) to acquire a minority shareholding in the Square Group, the international strategy, organization and operational consulting group. The LBO will facilitate the Square Group in its organic growth and to fund future acquisitions.
The acquisition was financed with both bank indebtedness and equity funds provided by Abénex.
The McDermott Will & Emery team was led by Partner Grégoire Andrieux working alongside associates Louis Leroy, Tess Souquet-Basiège and Anne Febvre who advised on corporate aspects of the deal. Partner Pierre-Arnoux Mayoly and associate Benjamin Briand advised on financing aspects, with Partner Lionel Lesur and associate Elena Chutrova supporting on competition law aspects.
