Overview
McDermott Will & Emery advised Action Logement (formerly 1% Housing) on the creation of Enéal, a real estate company dedicated to the acquisition and rehabilitation of housing facilities for dependent elderly persons (EHPAD) and of independent residences, with the goal of “offering a new quality housing offering to retirees with modest incomes”.
With €350 million in equity capital, Enéal aims at acquiring 150 medico-social facilities over the next three years. The creation of this real estate company is one of the measures provided for in the €9 billion Voluntary Investment Plan adopted jointly by Action Logement and the French Republic.
The McDermott team was led by Laurent Ayache (regulatory) and included Bertrand Delafaye (corporate), assisted by associate Camille Spegt.
