McDermott Advises Elmotec Statomat on Its Sale to Schaeffler

FRANKFURT – McDermott Will & Emery advised the shareholders of Elmotec Statomat Holding GmbH on the sale of all its shares to Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co KG.

The transaction is subject to clearance by relevant antitrust authorities and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2019. With the acquisition of Elmotec Statomat, Schaeffler, a global automotive and industry supplier, enhances its e-mobility manufacturing competence.

Elmotec Statomat group, headquartered near Frankfurt/M, Germany, is one of the world’s largest suppliers of machines for the production of stators for electric motors, alternators and generators. The company employs approximately 200 staff and has subsidiaries in the UK, Italy, China and India.
