Overview
LONDON – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented Mondi Group (an FTSE constituent) in its EUR 365 million acquisition of Powerflute Group Holdings Oy from Nordic Packaging and Container Holdings.
Powerflute operates an integrated pulp and paper mill in Kuopio (Finland) with an annual production capacity of 285,000 tonnes of high-performance semi-chemical fluting. The business will be integrated into Mondi’s Packaging Paper business unit.
The McDermott team advising Mondi Group was led by London-based Transactions partner Rupert Weber and included Dan Mathias and Gemma Cullen, as well as Tax partner James Ross.
