The international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery advised the European financial investor Penta Investments on its sale of the Gimborn group to the Chinese investor Hillhouse Capital Group.
The Gimborn group produces and distributes under various brand names pet food products for cats, dogs and rodents to pet shops, food retail markets and online shops. The transaction comprised entities in Germany, Austria, Italy and England. It was the first time that McDermott Will & Emery with its Munich based partner Dr. Nikolaus von Jacobs has been engaged by Penta Investments. Penta Investments is active on more than 10 markets throughout Europe and has offices in Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava and Munich.
