PARIS (February 18, 2016) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that it has welcomed Alexis Werl as a partner in its Paris office. Alexis joins the Firm’s Trial Practice Group with a focus on criminal and civil litigation.
Alexis has acted for major corporations and high net-worth and politically visible individuals. He was notably involved in high-profile litigations including the Bettencourt criminal proceedings.
He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2002 and to the New York Bar in 2005. In 2007, he was elected a member of the Conférence du Stage, an elite group of 12 young French lawyers chosen each year for their oral advocacy skills. Prior to joining McDermott, Alexis spent four years as a partner at a boutique litigation firm and eight years in the litigation department of another leading international law firm, including one year in New York.
