LOS ANGELES (January 7, 2014) — McDermott Will & Emery LLP today announced that leading real estate practitioner Lynn Anne Shapiro has joined the Firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner. Ms. Shapiro, who joins from another international law firm, brings considerable real estate transactional experience to McDermott’s highly-ranked Corporate Advisory Practice Group.
Ms. Shapiro has practiced for nearly two decades, with a focus on complex real estate transactions, including in regulated industries (such as Health and Energy) and the hospitality industry.
At her prior firm, she represented numerous Fortune 500 clients as lead counsel for acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and debt and equity transactions. Her work spanned such industry segments as renewable energy and healthcare facilities, residential and mixed-use developments, public-private partnerships, and commercial, high-tech and heavy industrial assets.

Ms. Shapiro received her B.S. and a J.D. from the University of Southern California. Earlier in her career, Ms. Shapiro served as General Counsel for a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns, develops and operates life science facilities nationwide.
