CHICAGO (February 14, 2017) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery received its highest ranking to date, coming in 17th in this year’s Top 20 US Law Firms Brand Index published by Acritas, a leading provider of legal market research.

The Acritas US Law Firm Brand Index is an independent audit of US law firms and draws upon the input from 765 general counsel or equivalent, around the world and across a diverse set of industries. Of those surveyed, 604 were from US-based organizations, with the remainder coming from multinational firms that have a legal need in the US. The index measures brand strength through six metrics, which include: top of mind awareness, favorability, consideration for top-level deals and litigation, overall usage among US-based clients and inbound usage among international clients.
