McDermott City Team Leads on Olam’s $1.3bn Cocoa Deal with Archer Daniels

Nicholas Azis in London, David Goldman in New York and Michael Sartor in Boston led a 16-partner McDermott team that advised Singapore-based agricultural business Olam on its $1.3 billion acquisition of Archer Daniels Midland’s global cocoa operations, a deal that will make Olam one of the largest suppliers of sustainable cocoa. Additional support came from lawyers in the Firm’s Washington DC, Chicago, Brussels, Duesseldorf and Los Angeles offices. McDermott has worked with Olam on a number of acquisitions in recent years.
