McDermott Comment | Most UK Spacs Are Nowhere Near Big Enough For The FCA

Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan, a partner at law firm McDermott Will & Emery, said:

“The market data underscores the challenge of SPAC fundraising outside the US. It may be that notwithstanding the FCA rule changes and the relaxations around pre-emption investor interest primarily remains with US SPACs (and their management teams) which are able to pursue acquisition targets in the UK and Europe as well as in the US.”
