McDermott+Consulting, a national healthcare consulting and lobbying firm, today announced that Dr. Paul Gerrard has joined the firm as a consultant based in Washington, DC.
“Paul is a recognized leader in the US healthcare industry and we are thrilled that our clients will be able to take advantage of his depth of experience,” said Eric Zimmerman, a principal of McDermott+Consulting and global head of McDermott’s Health Practice.
“Paul will bring even greater critical insights across a wide range of clinical areas and healthcare technologies and provide guidance on Medicare policy and regulatory requirements to McDermott+Consulting clients. Paul also has significant experience in health outcomes research and scientific computing.”
Dr. Gerrard most recently served as a chief medical officer and MolDX Director of Clinical Science at a Medicare Administrative Contractor. In that capacity, he played a critical role in the development of strategic directions for molecular diagnostics, post-acute care and data analytics.
Dr. Gerrard is a PM&R physician by training. He has worked as a private practice physician and associate medical director with a New England based rehabilitation hospital.
