McDermott Enhances Corporate Bench with Two Hew Hires in New York to Guide Global Companies in Market-Shaping Transactions

Overview

McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce the arrival of Ze’-ev Eiger and Patrick Rowe as partners in the Transactions Practice Group in the New York office. They will bolster the Firm’s capital markets, M&A and private equity bench with their experience guiding sophisticated foreign and domestic clients on complex transactions.

“Ze’-ev and Patrick have strong experience with market-shaping deals that will create significant synergies with our corporate work in New York,” said Harris Siskind, global head of McDermott’s Transactions Practice Group. “They bring new perspectives to our growing team and their depth of experience will add real value for our clients involved in complex transactions.”

Ze’-ev focuses on securities and other corporate transactions for both foreign and domestic companies. He has represented issuers, investment banks/financial intermediaries and investors in financing transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. Ze’-ev has extensive experience working with a wide range of issuers, including financial services companies, biotechnology/healthcare companies, technology companies, startups, real estate investment trusts (REITs), business development companies (BDCs) and closed and open-end funds. He also has represented foreign private issuers in connection with securities offerings in the United States and the Euro markets and financial institutions in connection with domestic and international offerings of debt securities and medium-term note programs.

“McDermott has a strong capital markets bench with lawyers focused in key areas such as structured finance, corporate restructurings and private equity. These areas are also bolstered by the firm’s strength in federal taxation,” said Ze’-ev. “I’m looking forward to joining forces with seasoned colleagues to support issuers, financial institutions, and investors seeking to push forward their business objectives.”

Patrick works with private and public companies on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He has experience counseling clients on securities transactions, financings, investments, restructuring, compliance matters, corporate governance issues and general corporate law matters.

“McDermott is helping clients achieve their goals through innovation and a passionate commitment to their service,” said Patrick. “I’m excited to join the dynamic and growing transactions team and contribute to its top-tier, global M&A and private equity work.”

Ze’-ev received his BA from the University of Virginia and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Patrick received his AB from Brown University, his JD from Washington and Lee University School of Law and his LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. After law school, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Stephen J. Swift in the United States Tax Court.
