Michael Austin has returned to the McDermott Miami office as a partner after having first joined the firm in 1998 before going to another global firm 14 years later. Mr. Austin focuses on litigation for hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers and investors.Daniel von Brevern joined the Düsseldorf office as a partner in the antitrust and competition practice. He had previously practiced with two other global firms. Mr. von Brevern handles merger control and cartel proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission, and advises on competition law compliance and state aid.
