Overview
NEW YORK (SEPTEMBER 4, 2015) – McDermott Will & Emery represented Gerresheimer AG (GXI.DE), one of the leading partners to the pharma and healthcare industry worldwide, in its acquisition of Centor, a market leader in the US prescription plastic vial retail market for oral drugs.
Gerresheimer reached the agreement with Nemera Development S.A. to acquire 100 percent of the share capital of Centor US Holding Inc.
The all-cash transaction, which closed on September 1, 2015, is valued at $725 million. With the addition of Centor, Gerresheimer extends its footprint in the primary pharmaceutical packaging market for prescription drugs significantly. Centor will be integrated in the Plastics & Devices Division of Gerresheimer.
