David Guedry, new partner-in-charge of McDermott’s Dallas office, saw as many as nine associates joining the office’s six new partners hired from another law firm, which would double the size of the office. Mr. Guedry is joined by technology and outsourcing partners Jason Krieser and Shawn Helms, and M&A partners Wilson Chu, Soren Lindstrom and Greg Hidalgo. They came to McDermott, Mr. Guedry continued, because “it became clear to us they were committed to not just the Dallas market, but the Texas market,” while Mr. Chu called the move “really a compelling opportunity we saw, dealing with a major, major firm with a premium brand.”
