Sarah Walters,former head of the economic crimes unit in in the Massachusetts US Attorney’s office, has joined McDermott as a Boston white collar practice partner. Ms. Walters, who had been in private practice before joining the government in 2007, said she was attracted by McDermott’s international platform, sizeable Boston presence and strong white collar group, adding that she foresees working closely with the Firm’s life sciences and health care clients because “regulators are scrutinizing those companies.”
