Chicago (November 3, 2017) – Leading law firm, McDermott Will & Emery has been recognized among the top law firms in America by U.S. News in its “Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” 2018 rankings.
The firm was named “Law Firm of the Year for Litigation – Tax,” an honor awarded to only one firm in each of the 75 nationally ranked practice areas. This accolade reflects the first-class reputation that the Tax team has built up across the marketplace for their professional excellence and the recognition they enjoy as one of the premier legal Tax practices. This award follows previous accolades for the firm in the ‘Litigation – Tax’ category in 2014 and as the ‘Tax Law Firm of the Year’ in 2016.
The firm also received Tier 1 rankings in 25 national practice areas, an increase on last year. The increased number of rankings position McDermott among the top 15 U.S firms with the highest number of national Tier 1 rankings awarded.
On a regional level, McDermott also received 68 Tier 1 rankings and 16 Tier 2 rankings, this includes a move up the ranks in 14 areas overall.
