McDermott has begun the addition of up to 50 real estate finance, employment and litigation lawyers from another global law firm, and as part of that process has plans to open a new office in San Francisco later this year. One of the new lawyers, Jeffrey Steiner, who will lead the real estate finance practice and join the Management Committee, said, “McDermott has such highly respected transactions and real estate teams, and we are anxious to collaborate with them to grow and cultivate the firm’s real estate finance offerings.”
