BOSTON (April 27, 2015) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP has named Anthony A. (Tony) Bongiorno partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Boston office. A seasoned litigator with substantial trial experience, Bongiorno previously served as head of the Firm’s regional Trial group in Boston.
Building on his success in growing the Firm’s trial group in Boston, Bongiorno’s primary objective will be recruitment at the partner level. He will also focus on strategic, regional business development, leveraging McDermott’s international, cross-disciplinary platform and its strong reputation in the Boston legal market.
Bongiorno is nationally recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Benchmark Litigation for his expansive litigation and trial experience, notably his work in products liability litigation and data privacy and security matters.

McDermott’s Boston office first opened in 1981 and now comprises more than 65 lawyers. Bongiorno, a native Bostonian, succeeds Mark W. Pearlstein, who will step down after five years as partner-in-charge in Boston. Pearlstein will continue his established white-collar criminal defense practice.
