McDermott Names Pankit J. Doshi Office Managing Partner for San Francisco and Silicon Valley

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced the appointment of employment partner Pankit Doshi as Office Managing Partner for the Firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. In this role, Pankit will lead the Firm’s Bay Area’s continued strategic growth and serve on the Firm’s Management Committee.

Pankit succeeds Bill Gaede in this role, a California-based IP partner who was recently took on the role of global lead for the Intellectual Property practice.

Pankit is an accomplished labor and employment partner and litigator, representing employers in a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare, transportation, retail, financial services and telecommunication. His practice focuses on preventative counseling and representing companies in high stakes litigation in both state and federal courts through trial and appeal, including on issues related to unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, restrictive covenant enforcement, whistleblower complaints and wrongful termination. Pankit also regularly defends employers in complex wage and hour class action and representative actions around the country. He has been at the forefront of COVID-19 counseling and response efforts, playing a critical role on the Firm’s pandemic response and trade secrets sub-groups.

From 2017 to 2018, Pankit served as President of the 50,000+ National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, one of the largest bar associations in the country.
