PARIS (March 17, 2017) – McDermott Will & Emery’s Paris practice has been honored with several prestigious awards including Trophées du Droit 2017; the Firm’s Private Equity practice won the Gold Award as Best Specialized Team in LBO Small & Mid-cap category and the Life Sciences Practice won the Silver Award as the most successful Legal Advisor in Pharma/Life Sciences category.
These awards follow a recent release of Décideurs 100 2016 where McDermott’s Paris practice was further distinguished, soaring to the top 10 of ranked firms. McDermott moved into the 6th spot in 2016 from its 22nd position in 2015 – one of the greatest increases on the table. The rankings, which are produced annually, list the firms which have been most active in the French market over the last calendar year.
Furthermore, McDermott’s Paris Practice has achieved the highest tier in Décideurs Health Care 2017 in the area of Health Care: Capital operations, Joint-ventures and Corporate. The league table, compiled annually, distinguishes McDermott among the best law firms in France with a designation of “Leading” which is the highest tier that can be achieved by a firm. Only three other global players are included in this elite group.
