McDermott Partner Jacques Buhart Co-authors New Book on Leniency Regimes

Overview

PARIS (7 October 2015) – The 5th edition of jurisdictional overview in Leniency Regimes co-authored by Jacques Buhart, partner in charge of McDermott Will & Emery’s Paris office, was launched today in Florence. It provides a practical, up-to-date analysis of leniency regimes for businesses involved in cross-border activities, and is an invaluable tool for general counsels and their private practice advisers.

Since its fourth edition in 2012, detection and punishment of international cartels remain a top priority of antitrust agencies. Leniency programs remain an important source of information for national competition authorities and a defence for companies operating globally.

This title gives companies and their legal advisers critical insight into the increasingly complex and important questions they face when considering whether to apply for Leniency.

The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the regimes across the following 32 jurisdictions:

  • Australia Luke Woodward, Elizabeth Avery & Andrew Low, Gilbert + Tobin
