McDermott Will & Emery partner Veleka Peeples-Dyer has been named among Savoy Magazine’s 2019 Most Influential Women in Corporate America. Featured in the Summer 2019 edition, the list of includes a cross section of 172 business leaders and executives who represent a diverse range of industries with national and global focus, who are noted for their talent, leadership and grace while executing critical roles for some of the largest corporations in the world.
Peeples-Dyer is a co-leader of McDermott’s Food and Drug Administration practice, where her deep industry and subject-matter experience has strengthened the Firm’s capabilities and service offerings in the fast-paced and highly-regulated life sciences industry.
Peeples-Dyer counsels pharmaceutical, biotechnology, technology and medical device companies on FDA regulatory, compliance and enforcement matters. Peeples-Dyer utilizes her fifteen years of senior in-house legal and compliance department experience to provide strategic advice and counsel on a wide range of matters for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, technology and medical device companies, including assisting in the development and implementation of corporate compliance and ethics programs. She speaks regularly at conferences on legal and compliance issues affecting biopharmaceutical companies.
Committed to advancing the legal profession in the health care field, Peeples-Dyer is an active member of American Heath Lawyers Association, Women in Bio and National Association of Women Lawyers. She is a graduate of Hampton University and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
