Leigh-Alexandra Basha and Ellen K. Harrison, Private Client Partners based in McDermott’s DC office, have been named to Washingtonian magazine’s 2015 “Top Lawyers” list. The 2015 “Top Lawyers” list, compiled based on peer recommendations and independent research, highlights the top one percent of an estimated 80,000 attorneys practicing in the DC metropolitan area. This year’s list includes top legal talent in 21 practice specialties, and Ms. Basha and Ms. Harrison were among a select group of only 38 lawyers in the “Trusts & Estates” category.
Ms. Basha and Ms. Harrison joined McDermott in 2015, and their arrival marked the establishment of a Private Client practice in the Firm’s DC office. Ms. Basha and Ms. Harrison counsel an affluent international client base on a wide range of sophisticated matters, including domestic and foreign estate and tax planning.
