CHICAGO (July 28, 2014) – In its July issue, American Lawyer ranked the Am Law 200 – the nation’s 200 highest-grossing firms—by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based lawyers. The 2014 National Pro Bono Rankings ranked McDermott 24 out of the 200 firms surveyed, which is 13 places higher than the Firm was ranked in last year’s issue. The Firm ranked third for its non-U.S. pro bono program. In his June 30 American Lawyer article, Michael Goldhaber stated that McDermott, with respect to our pro bono commitment, has become a “perennial star.”
The Firm also continues to be viewed as an “Up & Comer” on the American Lawyer’s A-List of Law Firms, and moved up this year in the rankings from 33 to 30. This ranking is based on revenue per lawyer, pro bono, associate satisfaction and diversity.
In TrustLaw’s new Index on Pro Bono, which is organized by country, the Firm ranked eighth in the U.S., second in the UK, eighth in Belgium, third in France, second in Germany, third in Italy and fifth in China.
