McDermott Relocates Rome Office to the Business District

Overview

ROME (March 2, 2015) – McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce the relocation of its Rome office to a new location at Via Luisa di Savoia, 18, effective today.

Following the success and expansion of its Italian practice, McDermott has decided to relocate even closer to the business center of Rome and to the offices of the Italian Securities, Antitrust and Tax regulators.

The layout of the new office is almost entirely contained on a single floor with open space and glass offices, which will allow more efficient team work fully integrated with client meetings as well. The modernized space was reconstructed with energy efficient systems inside an 18th century building, and is located a few blocks from Piazza del Popolo, the heart of the ancient city.

With this new location, McDermott lawyers will continue providing world-class service to clients in the areas of Corporate/M&A, Energy, Antitrust/Competition, and Tax law.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to move into such a wonderful new space so near the heart of the Roman business center,” said the partner-in-charge of the Rome office, Massimo Trentino. “The new offices will allow us to continue to grow the McDermott brand in Rome, while serving our current needs perfectly.”

Other recent office relocations include:

Europe:

In 2011, McDermott relocated to new offices in Brussels, Milan, Paris and London. In each case the moves were motivated by a desire to increase proximity to key clients and centralized locations, while also modernizing the office space to increase energy efficiency and improve office wide collaboration and productivity. McDermott has recently expanded its space in Paris due to very successful growth there.

United States:

In 2011 and 2012, McDermott moved into new offices in Miami and Washington D.C. respectively. The new Miami office is located in the Wells Fargo Center, which is at the heart of the city’s central business district. The Wells Fargo Center was designed for efficiency, flexibility and potential future expansion and, notably, is certified LEED Gold for environmental conservation and sustainable design by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Washington Office, known as “The McDermott Building”, was designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification through the U.S. Green Building Council and marks one of the first instances a major law firm moved to Capitol Hill.
