Overview
McDermott Will & Emery provided legal counsel to H.I.G. Capital, a leading global alternative asset management firm, in the formation of H.I.G. Europe Capital Partners III (the “Fund”), which closed with aggregate capital commitments of €1.1 billion, exceeding its target. The Fund will continue the successful strategy of its two predecessor funds, by making private equity investments in lower middle market companies, primarily in Western Europe.
The McDermott team was led by partner Ian Schwartz, head of the Firm’s Investment Funds Group, and includes partner David Nestler and associates Philip Feffer, Lauren Nevidomsky, Daniel Kim, and Jennifer Lee. Partners Alex Ruiz and Kevin Hall and associate Emily Mussio advised on tax matters. Partner Todd Solomon advised on ERISA matters.
