Andrea Kramer, co-chair of McDermott’s Gender Diversity Subcommittee, said the fact that nearly half of the Firm’s newly promoted partners were female reflects a years-long effort to help women within the firm reach their goals, for example through a program “that focuses not only on how to get your own clients, but how to be a lawyer that is as valuable as you can be to your practice group in the firm.” Britt Haxton, one of the newly promoted partners, credited coaching from another such program for helping her to develop leadership skills ahead of her promotion.
