Kristin Michaels, who joined McDermott’s Chicago office as a trial partner focusing on numerous complex employment and labor matters, said she “was really attracted to McDermott’s deep experience and strength in a number of areas of the law that my practice touches — litigation, labor and benefits and corporate — as well as the firm’s team approach to meeting client needs.” Ms. Michaels, who joined from another major law firm, is among more than 20 new hires at the partner level for McDermott so far in 2015.
