McDermott has added some 22 partners during March 2018, nearly all from the same global law firm. It is expected that up to 50 lawyers in total will be added from that firm, making for an anticipated $100 million boost to McDermott’s top-line revenue. The new lawyers mark one of the largest group hires the legal sector has seen in recent years, and because a number of them are based in San Francisco the Firm will open an office there later this year.
