John Yoshimura, formerly with consulting firm A.T. Kearney, has succeeded the retiring Robert Koenen as McDermott’s COO. Mr. Yoshimura said he will focus on new cost-effectiveness strategies, noting that “the old historic ways of compensation are one of the things that need to be challenged and looked at if they’re going to adapt to new client demands.” Firm co-chair Jeffrey Stone agreed that “the legal industry is obviously undergoing significant transformation … [and] John is going to be an important part of our thinking in the way we continue changing our law firm to meet those new imperatives.” Read the full article
