Wilson Chu called McDermott a “Goldilocks fit” for himself and five other partners coming to the Firm’s Dallas office from another major law firm. “Once McDermott enters a market, it is committed to being a key player in that market,” Mr. Chu said of the office, which opened in 2012. Shawn Helms, who will head the new technology outsourcing practice, noted that “McDermott is a law firm built on specialty practices” and viewed technology outsourcing as “strategic for them.” Also joining as Dallas partners are Soren Lindstrom and Greg Hidalgo (M&A), and Jason Krieser and David Guedry (outsourcing).
