Mark Schreiber, who as a partner at another major firm recently helped Pier 1 Imports settle a data breach suit, will join McDermott in Boston as new global privacy and cybersecurity practice co-head. Mr. Schreiber said that McDermott’s forward-thinking approach to stay on pace with changing technology drew him to the firm. “I would say they’re ahead of the curve. That’s what attracted me,” Mr. Schreiber said.
