McDermott has once again been recognized in Legal 500 EMEA 2022 as one of the leading firms in its European jurisdictions, with 34 practice rankings and 81 lawyers recommended – the highest number of the Firm’s lawyers listed in the guide to date.

Germany:
Real Estate team maintained a strong Tier 1 position and is described as “excellent in competence, customer friendliness, sovereignty, accuracy, speed, thoroughness and reliability.” Jens Ortmanns is again recognized as a ‘Leading Individual.’ Furthermore, McDermott is also newly listed as a “Firm to Watch” in Real Estate Finance.
Healthcare and Life Sciences team preserved Tier 2 ranking and is noted for “outstanding quality of legal advice, creative and agile solutions.” Stephan Rau is once again recognized as a ‘Leading Individual’ and Deniz Tschammler as a ‘Rising Star.’
Restructuring team moved up to Tier 3 and is noted for being “always precise and uncomplicated when it comes to implementation,” providing “high economic competence and fast, careful work.”
Italy:
Tax team maintained a Tier 3 ranking and is noted for “excellent international experience and client service, as well as an excellent knowledge of different industries and proximity to business processes.” Carlo Paolella is once again listed in the ‘Hall of Fame’ and Andrea Tempestini is newly recognized as a ‘Leading Individual’.
Private Equity team moved up to Tier 3 and is described as “very helpful, open, flexible and helping customers to think about issues that are not always obvious.”
