McDermott’s Nicole Clouse and Matthew Knowles Recognized as “Up & Coming Lawyers”

BOSTON (March 8, 2017) – McDermott Will & Emery partners, Nicole Clouse and Matthew Knowles, have been selected by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as “Up & Coming Lawyers.” This award honors rising stars who have been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar for fewer than 10 years yet have already distinguished themselves in the practice of law.

Ms. Clouse, a partner in the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, was selected as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” based on her work on high-profile patent litigation cases and IP transactional matters. With a doctoral degree in molecular biology from Princeton University and a JD from Boston University, Ms. Clouse is uniquely qualified to delve into an array of intricate life sciences legal issues.

Mr. Knowles, a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, was chosen as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” for his experience in complex commercial litigation and government investigations. In addition to his noteworthy legal practice, Mr. Knowles was also recognized for his investment in the local community and his broad and active pro bono practice. Mr. Knowles received his AB from Harvard College and his JD from Harvard Law School.

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s will honor Ms. Clouse and Mr. Knowles at their Excellence in the Law Awards Ceremony on April 27 at the Long Wharf Marriot in Boston.

Additionally, Ms. Clouse and Mr. Knowles will be profiled in an upcoming special section of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, expected to be published on April 24.
