International law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced today that Ranajoy Basu, a partner in its London office has been included in the 2021 ‘Kindness & Leadership, 50 Leading Lights’.
In 2018, Women of the Future founder Pinky Lilani set up the ‘Kindness & Leadership, 50 Leading Lights’ campaign to recognize the contribution of kind leaders to business, the economy and society. Pinky aims to enhance the conversation around leaders so that it goes beyond profitability and productivity by emphasizing the critical role that kindness plays; how it can change lives, inspire creativity and empower people to achieve above and beyond.
Ranajoy has been included in this meaningful list because he truly inspires those around him. He is a strong leader who puts his team first and leads with empathy. He is also recognised as one of the world’s leading lawyers in cross-border social impact finance structures and has advised on some of the most innovative financial inclusion structures, including the Educate Girls Social Impact Bond (improving the education of children in India), the groundbreaking Utkrisht Bond (reducing maternal and infant mortality) and the recent Skills India Impact Bond (improving the skills of young Indians and addressing the gender gap in employment).
