McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Morgan Michael, leader of the Firm’s Global Privacy and Cybersecurity practice, was recognized by Cybersecurity Docket in this year’s Incident Response 30 list of worldwide industry leaders. Mike was also named to this distinguished list in 2016 for being among the “best and brightest data breach response lawyers in the business.”
Mike has established himself as the “first-call” for companies who are dealing with data breaches and cyber attacks. Mike has guided clients through some of the largest and most complex data issues, including breaches involving more than 50 million records and incidents affecting persons in over 100 countries around the world. He counsels clients on cybersecurity compliance and legal risk mitigation programs, including analysis of evolving cybersecurity obligations, assessment of existing cyber programs, and development of cyber improvement roadmaps and response plans. He also advises clients on compliance with US and international regulations relating to cybersecurity and data privacy, including compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and China’s Network Security Law.
Mike has also been recognized by The Legal 500 and named as one of the Top Cyber/Artificial Intelligence Lawyers 2018 by the Daily Journal.
