Modern-Day Active Trade or Business Spinoff Rules Underway

Jay Singer said that the Internal Revenue Service’s plan to issue guidance that would revamp active trade or business rules and potentially allow some companies to qualify for tax-free spinoff transactions would be a “grand attempt to modernize the active trade or business requirements.”
