Anthony Upshaw told a California jury that two plaintiffs’ lawsuit alleging that PCB chemical use caused their cancer “is not about whether PCBs cause cancer. It’s about whether PCBs cause non-Hodgkin lymphoma. And don’t be fooled.” Mr. Upshaw noted that more than 90 percent of non-Hodgkin lymphoma cases have no known cause, and that the plaintiffs have two different types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, neither caused by PCBs.
