BEIJING – MWE China Law Offices has been named “Regulatory and Compliance Law Firm of the Year” at the 2018 China Law & Practice Awards by the editorial staff at China Law & Practice, The American Lawyer, The Asian Lawyer and Legal Week. The compliance team headed by Michelle Gon and Leon Liu was recognized for its ability to minimize risk to clients while providing sophisticated and practical counsel in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. This is the second year in a row that the team has been awarded this prestigious distinction among the world’s top law firms.

This award is the latest accolade in an incredibly strong year for the practice. Earlier this year, the team was ranked in Chambers Asia – Pacific 2018, securing a Band 1 listing for work in Corporate Investigations/Anti-Corruption the first time the firm has been listed by Chambers Asia-Pacific. Prior to this, the Firm had won Regulatory and Compliance Law Firm of the Year award at the 2017 China Law & Practice Awards, and at the 2014 Asian Legal Business China law Awards as well as 2016 China Business Law awards in the Anti-bribery and Compliance category.
The China Law & Practice Awards ceremony was held on September 13 at the St Regis in Beijing. Leon Liu and Carol Sun accepted the award on behalf of MWE China.
