Todd Solomon said that the new myRA savings accounts launched by the federal government “should not have an impact on most benefit plan sponsors. The myRA option will appeal most to workers whose employers do not offer a 401(k) plan or other retirement savings vehicle as it will give them an option to save larger amounts for retirement, without investment risk as the accounts are backed by government bonds.”
