New York City ALJ Finds HMO Exempt From General Corporation Tax

Peter Faber and Maria Eberle successfully represented a major insurer before an administrative law judge for the New York City Tax Appeals Tribunal, who ruled that an HMO affiliated with the insurer was “doing an insurance business” in New York, and thus exempt from the city’s general corporation tax.
