New York High Court to Hear Sprint’s Appeal of $400 Million Tax Case

Arthur Rosen explained his amicus brief for the Council on State Taxation supporting Sprint Nextel’s effort to dismiss a New York tax case brought under the state’s False Claims Act. “There seems to be a great need for the court to step in here and make sure the whistleblower statute does not get overused,” Mr. Rosen said. “One would think that the standard audit and appeal procedures would be most appropriate to determine the correct applicability of the law.”
