Lisa O’Neill, Andrew Watson, and Jean-Claude Petilon wrote this bylined article which detailed Egypt’s recovery from significant social and political unrest to put the country’s oil and gas industry on a sounder footing. “The election of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as president in June 2014 proved to be a turning point [and] … the future looks positive,” the authors wrote, continuing that “a number of agreements have recently been signed by international oil and gas companies and it seems Egypt is still a destination for international development … Despite on-going problems, the outlook for Egypt is positive.” Read the full article
